Community Connections Committee
Program Coordinator: Cynthia Hughey
Contact: cynthia@triangleinsight.orgAs an expression of our heart practice and generosity, the Community Connections Committee (CCC) is is recommending one local nonprofit organization per season (winter, spring, summer, and fall) for your consideration for a donation.
For Fall 2023, we recommend Repairers of the Breach for donations. From their website: “Repairers of the Breach is building a movement rooted in a framework that uplifts our deepest moral and constitutional values to redeem the heart and soul of our country. We are committed to building and supporting moral movements for social change and training a fusion group of people, activists, artists, and faith leaders to organize and mobilize around a moral policy agenda that prioritizes love, truth, and justice.”
For more information and to donate, see the Repairers of the Breach website. The Community Connections Committee extends gratitude to the Triangle Insight Meditation Community for its generous support of this important organization.
Welcome Committee
Program Coordinators: Robert Seyler, C. Kip Lee
Contact: info@triangleinsight.orgAs the Buddha teaches, the sense of being aware in the present moment is magnified through the joy of connecting with each other as a community. The Welcome Committee welcomes newcomers to our Sangha and offers all Triangle Insight participants a bridge to ongoing activities. We wish to foster the experience of belonging to a diverse, tolerant community where all feel welcome and safe. At in-person Wednesday night sanghas, please look for a committee member to welcome you, but also please reach out if you join by Zoom. Contact info@triangleinsight.org for questions.
If you would like to join the Welcome Committee as an act of dana, please email us. May our work benefit all who join us in this practice.
